SVMA and Charles A. Jones were recently awarded $500,000 in Workforce Recovery Grant funding from the Cities of Elk Grove and Rancho Cordova. The funding will support training these individuals in careers such as forklift driving, material handling, electro-mechanical assembly, machining, welding, and manufacturing technician. The grants will support the training of 135 residents. Program graduates will be placed with local employers and awarded placement bonuses.
Enrollment began in April 2023 and will continue through December 2024, or until grant funds are depleted due to enrollments.
