SACRAMENTO CITY COLLEGE HOSTS OPEN HOUSE & CAREER FAIR FOR MANUFACTURERS & STUDENTS

Sacramento City College will host its annual Fall Technology & Engineering Career Fair & Open House on Nov 21 from 6 – 8 pm. This is a great opportunity for manufacturers & your employees to learn about the amazing programs at Sacramento City College – HVAC/R, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Surveying, and Engineering Design Technology.

SCC is adding new evening classes and accelerating class schedules to meet the demands of your workforce!

SCC Faculty and Community Outreach Staff will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have about class schedules and enrollment.

TRI TOOL TECHNOLOGIES HIRES DONOVAN CORBITT

Sacramento Valley Manufacturing Alliance -SVMA and Tri Tool Technologies would like to announce that Tri Tool has hired Donovan Corbitt as a Manufacturing Support Associate in the Shipping & Receiving Department. Donovan was one of the first graduates from the Charles A Jones Manufacturing Training Program for adults. A huge thanks to the Tri Tool team of George J. Wernette III (Joe), Christopher Belle, and Alex R. Muhs for your ongoing support of Charles A Jones!. Likewise, thanks to the former Charles A Jones manufacturing instructor, Todd Frazee, for preparing Donovan and all students for rewarding manufacturing careers. OJT INTERNSHIP FUNDING 2024

FUNDING AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT ON-THE-JOB TRAINING AND COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENT INTERNSHIPS

Sacramento Region Manufacturers. The Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA) has funding to support the On-The-Job Training of your employees if they need to acquire new skills.   Or,  are you interested in recruiting an intern from one of the four Los Rios Community College District colleges. The funding will pay for up to 350 hours of internship experience for a student, at no cost to the employer. For more information, see the attached flyer!
