SVMI State of Manufacturing & Education


On Wednesday, March 27th from 8 am to 11 am at the inaugural “State of Manufacturing & Education in the Sacramento Region” Summit.

SVMI was formed in April 2018 by manufacturers to address the need for a qualified/trained workforce.

Learn how SVMI is partnering with education and workforce development to create career pathways for students and adults in advanced manufacturing in the Sacramento Region.

Learn about our 2018 initiatives, plans for 2019, community college career technical education, State of CA Dept of Education strategic plans for career technical education, and examples of dynamic high school manufacturing technology programs in our region.

The morning will conclude with an opportunity for you to provide your input into our planned 2019 career expo for high school students.
