Skilled Trades Fair at Charles A Jones

On Saturday, April 9, SVMA partnered with the Northstate Building Industry Association Foundation

Northstate Building Industry Association Foundation (NBIAF)  and  the Charles A Jones Career & Education Center  to co-host a Skilled Trades Fair at Charles A Jones.  Over 40 employers and 100 high school seniors and local residents participated.  After 2 years of social distancing under Covid 19 public health restrictions it was overwhelming to see the excitement and turnout.   Employers were energized by the interest of the high school students and the large number of Afghan immigrants, interested in careers in manufacturing and construction.
