Folsom Lake College Introduces Manufacturing Industrial Technology Program Fall 2021
After 2 years of planning & approvals, Folsom Lake College is launching its Manufacturing Industrial Technology Program in the Fall 2021. The first two classes are as follows:
MITECH 300 is an introduction to manufacturing and will be held at Oak Ridge High School (SVMA Strategic Education Partner) in El Dorado Hills.. This course is a great introduction to manufacturing processes for individuals who are pursuing careers in design, the trades, or are just interested in how things are made.
MITECH 320 is an introductory course on CAD/CAM and will be held at the Folsom Lake College main campus. This is a great course for individuals looking to upgrade their current skills with basic Solidworks Modeling and CAM programming in HSM Works (Embedded CAM Software for Solidworks).
Classes will be taught by Todd Frazee, SVMA Strategic Partner. Todd has over 25 years of manufacturing & education experience. Todd has served as an instructor at Sierra College and currently serves as the lead instructor at the Charles A Jones Career & Education Center guiding the Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship Program which launched Fall 2020.
